In the beginning, A.A was my initials. i dint like A.E cuz it's bit weird
so I changed it to A.A which was Adrian = A = 1st

Coincidentally, now it can also be our initials between me and my girl. A.A = Adrian.Audrey

So, I've known this lovely girl for 5 months. I got to know her from my housemate and high school junior fren, Tung Herr. Still can remember the 1st time, I met her. I was quiet and shy. Din't really talk that much to her.

Time flies, added ourselves on facebook and msn. and there we go having long chats at night till the break of day. getting to know more bout each other as friends.

We started to get real intimate and close like a couple on 17 oct. buthen. due to my blur-ness. I did not realised to ask her to be my gf till she gave me a hint on the 26th night. so we went official on the 27oct. 3.09am at Melbourne, Australia. GMT+10

Her name is Audrey btw.

<3 her. gonna miss her when she leaves home for malaysia soon. 1 month away frm her. =(

Days seem to go pretty fast when u dont want it to.
and goes slow, when u dont want it to.

Well, I'm on my 4th week of uni. and I am trying my best in grasping all I can from the lectures.

Weather's a bit shaky, hot then cold then hot then cold.
Well, it rains at times as well.

Today, I got a bit worked up. Went to the gym for an hour and then went to do laps in the pool.
It was tiring but my body can take it.

Well, life is starting to get brighter for me over here. Cut down on game time A LOT !
and there's sumthing else, which I would not say at this present moment. You'll just have to wait and see.

well you should be wondering now, we do need lotsa stuff and things in life, from money to family to electronic gadgets, apartments and many more.

But today, I'ma gonna talk about FRIENDS. Friends are people you know and mix with at some point in your life. There are old friends and new friends.

Remember the days, where our parents kept telling us, "choose your friends wisely, dont mix with the bad ones and playful ones". Hmm, I myself was playful. lol,

I'm turning 20 in 2 days. Met so many people, and some hv became really close friends and some were for a brief period and some I barely even contact with anymore.

Choosing close friends are important, it's like choosing the right shirt to go with ur jeans. It's real hard as, you never know when 1 might backstab you, ditch you. A close friend evolves from a normal friend, from the moment you meet him/her, if both can connect well with each other, the friendship will blossom and there you have, a close friend is born.

To the friends I have known, I love you for who you are, and I still remember you even if I don't talk that much. And to the friends I have recently known, I wish that we will enjoy our times in Melbourne. Thank you so much to all of you out there. LOVE YA ALL LOADS. =)

Its here, the month of a new semester and my happy day.

Sydney trip was 2 weeks back. and it was hot and dry over there. 1st day, we went to this japanase place. food portion was HUGEEEEEE. thakn goodness i dint eat lunch and had little for brekky. 2nd day, we were hit by the dust storm. ZZZ. but the day wasn't wasted. as we had our peaceful session of catching up and attending UNSW lectures.

Everyday we went to bed late, at 3-4 am. playing cards, telling jokes and stories. and in the morning, the whole house will wake up to the beautiful melody of me and quah's voice.

Went to Manly beach. Note : to become more Manly, do visit this beach.

Checked out Darling Harbour, beautiful place with nice cafes and scenery. At night was splendid. Pancakes on the rocks are not as good as Pancake Parlour. and both Pancake shops are not up to the standards of Paddington house of Pancakes [PHOP] in Malaysia. cant wait to go home to eat.

Opera house was beautiful from afar when we saw it from the ferry. and at night it was showered in rays of purple light. Tht night, we spend abt 2 hours there. frm 12am -2am. at Sydney opera house. We took a slow stroll around it, on top of it. in front of it. The weather was just nice and each of us, took our own pace to circle the Opera house.

The following day, we went SHOPPING. we went to Westfield EAST GARDENS. the only place where I actually bought a lot in sydney. they basically had everything I needed. no need so difficult go 1 shop by 1 shop on the street in the city.

* LOL. I thought there was only 1 Westfield. no wonder can't see you.

Then we had Korean Charcoal BBQ tht night. ordered 2 much. thx goodness got the 2 feller tht can really eat. quah n cj, think of the children of Africa doesn't work on me.

After that, quah n ida went to a pub. to get a drink. amirah went off to see her old friend

So it was me n cj, catching up, exploring the city streets. got ourselves bubble tea. had a great time with him. cj always been a good loyal friend who will stick by you and help you out no matter what time you call him, and what the problem is. CJ WE ALL LOVE YOU.

Then we all met up at World Square. where my FAKE purple roller coaster is.

All was good, and we left for the airport the next day. Screw the airlines. Our flight got delays for i think almost 2 hours and 30 minutes.

BTW, this is just a summary. but i think u roughly get the idea.

it's been some time yea.

it's been different in me, thinking of what's next and what's goin in my life.
uni has been really tiring and boring lately. classes literally went downhill boring.

buses are starting to get cramped. weather's been strange. suppose to be colder now, but it's hotter

there's a feeling in me to go back to the mountains, wish i'd stay there longer, maybe 2 weeks, a month

been enjoying time with my new housemates, tung herr and chee wai. cook at home often. chee wai a good cook. could be next MasterChef hahahaha.

Ski Trip was a Blast !

our ski trip to Mt. Buller was amazing. we had 3 days of superb fun and excitement with all the adrenaline rush skiing down the slopes.

next trip, we might head up to Falls Creek or Mt. Hotham. Ryan, Tiklik, Chee Wai ( new housemate ) and Tung Herr will be joining next year's trip. Might be going for a 5 nights stay.

Uni is as usual. harder topics are in. they are hard. craking head already.

Renovation

Apartment's been undergone a bit of renovation and re-arrangement of furniture.

Still not in perfect setting, but maybe round 8/10 done.

An Update for July

It's quiet now in the apartment, Tung Herr's out and Tham is at his parents. For myself, i just got back from Quah's house at Blackburn.

His new place is really nice and cosy. Was real cold too.

Tung Herr just got back on Friday, Nick came to melb on friday too and left the next for Canberra, all the best at ANU bro, come visit melb if u got time.

Chi Wai will be arrving here on Tuesday.

Apmt is a bit messy at the moment got new furniture, and not fixed up totally.

Statistics lecturer last day was Friday, gonna miss his lectures.

oh man. my class have seriously high competition this semester.

But theres good news and bad news today.

Management, highest in objective paper. 3rd highest in subjective paper.

Microeconomics - 46/60 = 7.8/10 ( I think I did a good job actually, I answered beyond our textbooks, I'm a Economist alrite !!! )

Accounting. 4.5/5 in 1 paper. and 5.5/5 in the other. Apparently my 5.5/5 paper was a perfect paper. the lecturer can't resist giving the extra 0/5 mark to me. Thx Jim. We both ROCK !!!

Statistics 1st Paper. 7/8. argh. 2nd question !@#!@#!$@

Not bad results so far. Gonna study harder now for economics after just finishing my accounting work. = )

Gonna go on 17-19 july to Mt. Buller which has already 54cm depth of Natural Snow.

Approximately 6-8 of us will head there by coach for 3 days of pure ski/snowboard fun.

Was watching Sunday Night Tv with Quah.

Watched MasterChef Australia then Rove came.

Rove is a comedy talk show on channel Ten.

Rove was awesome. they had Bruno and PM Kevin Rudd on the same day on air

Australian PM was really cool and sporting to appear on comedy talk shows.

Went out with friends today to catch Transformers. awesome movie as expected.
can't wait to see G.I Joe and Bruno.

Connex and Yarra Trams are Done For !

As of latest news, Connex which are melbourne train operators and Yarra Trams who are in charge of trams have their contracts terminated.

They have been terminated as their services are late, canceling of service without notice and so on.

The train operation will be operated by Hong Kong's MTR group, and the trams by a French company.

All the best in both companies to provide a faster and more efficient service.

PS. hope they reduce the fares, as well as allow all international students to get a valid concession card.

It's tough and tiring

Uni studies are getting harder and interesting. so far so good. all subjects at my feet still. but assignments and research are really killing my free time. as well as revision. classes can be exciting and bored at times. usually daydream about the lectures teaching and then come up with a brilliant questions at times. its like the class are studying ABC but I've absorbed ABC and on to DEF.

Most of business studies is really, using common sense and real life situations. putting my very self into Sellers or Buyers situation and think what's really the best thing I should do at a particular problem.

Management Lecturer gave us some motivation and goal seeking/aiming kinda lecture on Monday. some ppl had no idea watsoever to do, and some aims to do this and that, just so they can avoid entering certain fields or companies. Well my aim is quite straight. finish degree. work for some MNC or a financial corporation be it a bank or institution or where ever my prospects bring me.

Top 5 companies I aim to work for :

4. Microsoft
5. Cisco Systems

Will be attending conferences and seminars in Melbourne when I have an oppurtunity. Need to widen my networking groups and beef up my career prospects.

I paid a visit to the relatives of tht stingray. They are really harmless fish, unless they feel in danger only will they use their barb. And their barb ain't that sharp, it just so happens, the one tht got Steve, got his chest area.

A New Semester

Started my new semester already which will last for 13 weeks.

Will be doing Accounting For Management Decisions, Micro Economics, Statistics and Management.

All lecturers seem to be experienced and very knowledgeable, but they seem to be handing out assignments already on the 1st class. zzz

Classes are really interesting, as there are a lot of critical and creative thinking and personal reports to make which I love.

Met new people and will get to know them better in this period of time, their from China, Sri Lanka, Middle East, Vietnam, and India. Most of them are really smart as well, so competition gets harder, will do my best to rise among the crowd.

Swine Flu Free

A few days back, I started to have a sore throat and then came cough.

So as some of you know, sore throat, cough, flu, vomit, headache, muscle pain are some of the symptoms of swine flu.

I freaked out and decided to get a check up. Went to the clinic after class at QV.

Waited 1 hour for the doctor.

And BOOM. NO SWINE FLU. I'm clean and clear. just a normal sorethroat.

Free of it.

Well, moving in to the city has been accomplished successfully.

Had Nandos on Friday night, and it taste horrible and it was so not worth it for the price paid too.

Yesterday night went for Chinese HotPot at Chinatown. Me and my China friend with Tham went there. NICE FOOD man. Gonna go there some time again.

Met up with Andika after dinner, and went for a drink then pool.

Yesterday saw cops everywhere.
Saw police and paramedics at Melbourne Central, in one of the bars, apparently someone got into a serious fight.
Also saw lots of cops at another club, at Russell St. another fight.

Saw a lot of cops under my apartment, as a taxi driver hit into a tram stop railing.

I started to fall in love with KK. She's so sweet and nice.

Hey ya'll, today I got ooomph! (mood) to study. left my books in locker. and ran back to uni to get the books. Plan to go for a snow vacation is still on the way. 3 more friends joining the current group. which sums up to 10 ppl. and even more and more are asking to go. but there are some circumstances which have to be considered.

So the break is over, and it's back to normal routine. Woke up at 9.15am and caught the 10.25am bus to uni.

Did my presentation today, and it went smoothly. Hope Miss Eva give me high marks now.
Decided what I really want to major in my business degree and after 2 days of brain storming, I finally decided to take up Marketing. As I always ponder and think of ways businesses can further increase their sales and successive approach to the community.

Last Last Thursday, 1 day before Good Friday. The uni gave out Easter eggs to all students.

Can't find a title suitable for this post. Well melb, is starting to get colder by now, avg temp is ard 18*c and its really cold at night.

I'm back in the city and for some unknown reason, i feel so tired all day but I still push myself to do stuffs, like explore the city streets and go to suburbs and check them out.

Went grocery shopping at Aldi. everything there is much cheaper than other supermarkets. but the brands they sell, you prolly not seem em before.

This would be the final part of the series. And it contains pics of places I've been and done.
It has been enjoyful and tiring at the same time these past few days. Been hanging out at Tham's hse togethher with his family, neighbours and friends. Went to house parties, lan parties, Karaoke, Cycling, Basketball everyday, playing with JJ and more random stuffs. =p

It's a beautiful day today, and yesterday.

Went cycling for 2-hours uphill n downhill at Royal Park. Then went to church and had a small gathering at Tham's house.

Tonight, a lot of families are gathering for a pot-luck (food party) at Aunty J. house. There's gonna be sushi, lo mai fan (rice dumpling), cauliflower cheese, mushroom pasta, roast beef, fantasy cake, mee hoon and so much more. Yum ~

Apparently one of the aunties is a pro-hairdesigner. So I mighta get like a haircut today. =p

I'll take a moment from the Last March Weekend Episodes. Will continue in next post. So stay tune.

One weekend in the city, we decided to go to this restaurant.

Not just any restaurant but this chinese restaurant in Chinatown, where people queue for maybe 30min-1 hour to have dinner.

We were early that day, so we also queued for like 30minutes.

Well its called Dainty Sichuan Restaurant, and boy I haven't try Sichuan Food before, and when I look at the menu, I thought it couldn't be that spicy and hot. All the Aussies and other people around me seem to be eating fine without any difficulties.

So we ordered 4 dishes.

Then the dishes arrived, and we were WOWED by the portion and fragrance.

*Sorry, only took pictures, after eating some of it. It's so much bigger. We couldn't finish our dinner.

So this is the part 3 of my last march weekend.

After dinner me, tham and tung herr decided to go play pool. On the way we bumped into Chien Junn, Amirah and Calvin. We kinda like talked on the street for like 1 hour I think. lol

As of today Sunday 3am. all clocks have been adjusted and turned back one hour.

This means Aussie and Malaysia time are only differ by 2 hours now =p

For instance : now is 6pm. in Melbourne, Australia.
back at Malaysia its 4pm. =p

The 2 hour time difference will last up till 4 October. After that day, it would be 3 hours again. =(

Took a stroll along Exploration Lane just now. Explored the area a bit, quiet area. It drizzled a bit and the sky was dark. It's 6.30pm and its already dark. because it normally gets dark here ard 8pm.

Can't wait for Thursday to come and I'm gonna be having my holidays for 10 days. weeeeeeee.

Got 2 major tasks on holiday. Explore Docklands and Southbank. Need to find my Fish n Chips . Grrrrrrrrrr.

Gloomy Friday

It started to get cold on Friday. sky was cloudy and dark while I walk on the lonely path to my class.

It was a superb condition to sleep comfortably, as the weather was set to put people to sleep. But we have our daily lives to continue and go on.

I was early to class, 2nd to be exact. Talked to my friend a bit, then a few more others turned up. Half the class was then there, and our lecturer came in, and we went to the computer lab to do research on our presentation.

I notice the weather and sky, getting gloomier by the minute. And I wished I was at a bed right now, enjoying my sleep.

Before class almost ended, one of my friends came in. He is always early and never skips classes, so it was very very unusual to see him late. I notice his face, and there I knew something bad had happened to him, so I pondered for a moment, what could possibly happen to him? .

He then went out of class to discuss his late-ness with our lecturer. And 2 of our other friends went out to find what happened. Our lecturer came in, I saw her sad face with teary eyes. And there I knew I was right, something really bad had happen.

Our lecturer told me and Sheng, that our friend's dad has passed away. I was shocked and understood the feeling of losing someone so close to you. I then sat at my place and thought what could I possibly do to help him. Would words of encouragement help him? maybe. Nevermind. I'll just pray for him and his family right now.

After class, the day got gloomier and it started raining, it rained non-stop for 3 hours, and it was the heaviest and longest rainfall Melbourne had this year. The lower part of a block in my uni got flooded by 3cm.

While walking to the bus stop, I told my friend some words of encouragement and told him to be strong in this situation.

National Service

National Service is a program whereby Malaysian Youths who finished their High School are require to be in the program if they are selected.

Basically, its a 3-months stint compared to Singapore's 2 years stint. And the Malaysian NS includes both boys and girls. ( Too bad for Girls who are/were selected )

So in the camp, you wil be trained to be like a soldier, run like a soldier, think like a soldier, sleep like a soldier, eat like a soldier and go to toilet like a soldier. So when you come out of the camp you will feel like a soldier. How cool is that right ?

You get to hold a real-gun and shoot with it. You get to hold a real-gun and run a few kilometres with it also. Superb soldier training to transform our youths into killing machines, so if war ever broke out, you can see all the youths rise up and depend their very country. Malaysia, negaraku tercinta.

Well, I know it's so random for me talking bout NS suddenly. But that was what I was talking with Tham, his sis and another 2 friends during Earth Hour. Nice topic to kill time.

Here I am, sitting here thinking and writing this to pass my time. no assessments and my studies are all done for now.

Tomorrow, there's soccer training, aww hope my legs wont hurt again after running up and down the field for an hour.

This weekend is the F1 fever in Melbourne as this year will be the 1st twilight F1 race ever held in the history of F1. Tickets cost $99, anyone wanna sponsor me ? anyhow for those who are not going to the race, this Friday, I heard there will be a F1 car drive in the city. oooooooooo

Its monday again, and the normal routine is back again.

had 5 hours of class today. was most delighted during maths lesson. as once again i got the highest in maths test. 96/100. sweet.

ate pasta and beef stew during lunch.

its actually a bit cold today at 18*C but its gonna go up in the next few days to ard 20 - 25
during the weekend. there was a greek festival in the city. where there was greek food and culture dances/song performance.

Earthquake Felt

today was the st tie i felt an earthquake

4.26pm while taking a short nap. i got shock instantly by this strong force as the building shake.
It was scary and it lasted for 20 seconds. I could actually felt the building move and my bed was totally shaking.

Went out of my room and saw my other floormates opening their doors as well and we just stared blankly at each other. lol

Message my other fren, and he said he felt the shake as well.

Cultures being Crossed

Last Sunday, went to a church in the city. It's called Cross Culture Church.

About 60% of the congregation is aseans. I have a feeling to continue going to this church.
This month is Pray for Indonesia month, we got into groups of 4-5 and started praying for Indonesia. As Indonesia has conflicts between Islam groups towards the Cristian community there and a vast majority is Islam about 88% and there are millions of people in Indonesia who have not hear the good news of the Lord, we pray that they will come to know the Lord and enter his glorious kingdom.

This Tuesday is Sue Zann birthday. =p. HAPPY BIRTHDAY. miss you so much.

Bought a basketball and soccer boots today. = ) have slim down =.= my jeans keep falling off.

Moomba Water Festival

On 6-9 March, Melbourne was in a festival mood with the Moomba festival which is held on the Yarra River.

When to the festival on 7th which is a Saturday. Let me put my activities in a sequence on what I did that day.

10am - 12pm = study economics
12pm - 12.30pm = bath and wash up
12.30pm - 3pm = went to Ikea with my Indonesia friend and his sister @ Richmond
3pm - 4pm = check out my friend's newly moved-in apartment at Collins Street
4pm - 6pm = play pool at Bourke Street. $15 for 2 hour. (the cheapest in Melbourne)
6pm - 6.30pm = went for dinner at Chinatown (Msian food, so not nice)

Then after dinner was walking back to apartment along Swanston street, then I bump into my other friend who was having dinner with one of his friends in a restaurant. Went into the restaurant and chat a bit, then we decided to walk along Yarra River. Then I just remembered that there is a festival going on.

We took quite a number of pics and we enjoyed the carnival/festival and the fireworks was superb. Then we all bought Light sabers. hahahaha.

Then on the way walking out of the festival area, I met Amirah and her friend Iman. Such coincidence to bump into her, in a plce where there were hundereds/thousands of people.

10.30pm = Went to Coles Supermarket to do some grocery shopping for food supply.
11.00pm = Reach back at Apartment and finish studying economics.

Hey mates,

I'm doing much better now. Home-sickness had reduce quite a lot now after I settled in already. Getting use to the life here, how the system and so on works and operates.

Met a Msian guy in my class and an Indon. Pretty close now. And the Msian guy friend is Tung Her, whom is currently studying in RMIT (only SriKdu ppl will know him) good to meet old high school people.

My class is an International class for now which is so much smaller then a normal degree class.

My International Business Class - 18 ppl
Normal Degree Class - 200-300 ppl

my class is the smallest currently. xD. so we get more attention and got more oppurtunity to ask the lecturer when we don't know something.

My class has no Aussies but people from all over the world like China, India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Oman and Sri Lanka.

It was super windy yesterday, dust went into my eye many times yesterday. =.=
Today, was a bit windy + cold.

I'm in melbourne now. It was hot few days ago, but its cold these days. I really miss home, miss my family the most, and everyone in oc.

I thought I was really ready to go study overseas alone, but guess not. I miss them so much and I feel really sad. It's been a really long time since the last time I cried till now.

I won't be seeing my family in months and I'm already this sad. Imagine those who have lost their loved ones, they must be really really sad. But no matter what, we must stand strong as God will guide me and those away from their families to stand strong thru these period of time.

Classes starts tomorrow at 9am. its 15 mins to 11pm. Goodnight all.

A Journey In A Foreign Land

As most of you know, I'll be departing for Melbourne which is the 2nd largest city in Australia to further my studies.

These past few weeks, I am still wondering if I had made the right choice to go there. I never intended to even go to Australia, but one day my mum took me to an education fair and there went my registration to study in Aus.

With my preparations all set to go there, I will have to go there and study hard to earn my piece of paper and also seek the true meaning of my purpose in life there.

To all my family members, cousins, relatives, and friends I pray for your health and safety in Malaysia.
